Ivanka Trump Rides Horse On Beach, Internet Horrified To Learn Wealthy People Occasionally Enjoy Things

COSTA RICA — The internet entered a state of emergency this week after Ivanka Trump committed the increasingly serious offense of riding a horse while other Americans were still required to pay for gasoline.

Video showing Trump galloping along a beach immediately sparked outrage from online economic analysts who discovered that a rich woman was, in fact, doing rich-woman things.

“Gas is over $4 in some places!” screamed one user, apparently under the impression Ivanka was fueling the horse with premium unleaded.

Others criticized the beach ride as “out of touch,” establishing the important new rule that affluent people must remain indoors looking miserable whenever inflation exists.

Experts say acceptable activities for wealthy Americans during periods of economic anxiety now include:

  • staring solemnly out windows,
  • eating store-brand crackers on camera,
  • posting “we’re all in this together,”
  • and riding horses only if the horse appears financially distressed.

The controversy intensified after users connected Ivanka’s horse ride to an entirely separate dispute involving federal wild-horse policy, because once the internet smells a horse, every horse on Earth becomes part of the same story.

“First she rides a horse,” explained one social-media investigator. “Then there are wild horses. Coincidence? Wake up.”

Ivanka reportedly disabled replies, depriving thousands of Americans of the opportunity to personally fix inflation underneath a vacation video.

Meanwhile, economists confirmed that the horse remains completely unconcerned about gasoline prices because it is a horse.

At press time, activists were demanding Ivanka switch to a more relatable vacation activity, such as sitting in traffic outside Costco whispering, “How the hell is this $146?” while eating a rotisserie chicken.

This stray cat supports the horse, incidentally. It found free transportation, beachfront property, and somebody else paying for its meals.

That animal understands economics better than Congress.
