BALTIMORE — Political commentator Kimberly Klacik caused widespread confusion Monday after posting a video with the caption:
“Trying something different this AM…”
Within minutes, Maryland political Twitter entered emergency mode.
Was she launching a podcast? Running for something? Quitting politics? Selling collagen? Becoming a morning-show host? Going undercover at a brunch spot?

Nobody knew.
One longtime follower said, “Usually when a Maryland political personality says they’re trying something different, it means a campaign announcement, a feud, or a 37-part thread. I was not prepared for calm.”

Sources say several consultants immediately began drafting fundraising emails just in case.
One read:
KIMBERLY TRIED SOMETHING DIFFERENT. DEMOCRACY IS ON THE LINE.
Another simply said:
CHIP IN $25 TO FIND OUT WHAT.

By lunchtime, state officials confirmed Baltimore remained standing, the Beltway still existed, and no special election had been called.
The Canton Cat attempted its own experiment by “trying something different” and not knocking over a trash can.
We lasted six minutes.
This is satire. We report from behind the dumpster, where every vague political post is treated as a possible gubernatorial launch.
